jholt26 Report post Posted February 3, 2013 Hello, The Manual on the 13 FFH says regular fuel but improved performance will be obtained from premium fuel. Has anyone compared mpg from regular to premium fuel?
acdii Report post Posted February 3, 2013 Not really going to notice a MPG increase, but the engine will run smoother. Only time Premium had improved MPG was in the 2012 Ecoboost F150, saw a 2 MPG increase.
KingJL Report post Posted February 3, 2013 It may depend on what you (or your state) considers 'regular'. Some states have 85 octane for regular. That could be a problem! Couple that with E15 and/or high altitude and you may be asking for trouble. The FFH recomendation is 89 octane, but considers 87 acceptable. Our regular here in TN is 87 octane.
