Titanium hybrid 6-9 months

Recommended Posts

Unless you are in NY or CA - not that soon.

I am hopeful the 2/14 scheduling and 3/4 production dates for the HyTi's rumor bears some resemblance to reality,

Finger crossed.

Do you mean 2/4 production date? Where did the newer dates come from?

"Received a call from the VP at the dealership last night. He has been very proactive and straight up with me. Thats all I can ask for. He advised me that my Titanium will go into production March 4th, and will take approximately 6 weeks from that point."

"So I went to talk to my dealer today to find out what they know about the start of production for the Hybrid Titanium.

He showed me an email that he received yesterday from Ford that said scheduling will being 2/14 for Hybrid Titanium and production begins 3/4."

I wish the 2/4 production was a reality ... but I think that fantasy long since died a horrible thrashing death upon the rocky shoals of Cyberdman's "Unscheduled - clean" replies.

I am afraid that is all that will again await you on the morrow. :-(

Ah - the cruel reality of production delayed.

I hope the 2/14 scheduling start rumor is legit. Hope springs eternal and there is always an SE for those who can wait no longer. :-)

Just spoke with Ford Customer Care and they told me that the Fusion Hybrid Titaniums are scheduled to arrive a dealerships in Q1 of 2013, most likely at the end of March. This seems to correlate with info

I just spoke with Customer Care and they told me that Fusion Hybrid Titaniums are supposed to reach dealerships by the end of March. Further correlation to the above. According to Sam(antha) Hoyt, Fusion Marketing Manager on Twitter, they will be built in Hermisillo.

Ford Customer Care is living in a fantasy more unreal than Disney.

No hybrid Ti will make to any dealer in March. Gas Ti, sure. Energi, Ti doubtful as well.

Their transport from HSAP just doesn't work that smooth.

They are just voicing the party line they have been voicing since Q4 of '12.

They haven't yet received the new talking points.

I think if they truly begin production 3/4, it's very likely some cars will reach some dealers still in March. The rail delivery seems to be a bit of a hits and misses afair. Mine I think was a double - car produced 12/5, on rails 12/6, in a rail yard in Seattle on 12/19, prep at the dealer 12/26 (I think, based on maintenance records at owner.ford.com). I only took delivery 01/03 because of travelling.

I remember somebody in these forums that got the car in something like a week or so from build (in SoCal).

And even people on the East coast that took delivery in 3 weeks or so from build.

So, again, if they start producing really first week in Mar, I suspect some units will be at dealers by eom (enough for them to claim "victory" in Q1 availability). And some more, hopefully including some of the special orders here, at least on rails.

I ordered my hybrid a week ago today. They told me 8 to 12 weeks. It was from a larger dealer near Chicago.

Which trim for hybrid, SE or Titanium? If you ordered SE then that timeframe is probably accurate. If you ordered Titanium, well take a number and get in line, still kinda iffy on the timing there.

I have now seen a 2013 Fusion on the road two days in a row. By the time we get out Titaniums, they will be a dime a dozen. :)

The last time that I saw another Fusion was back in November, and it was just parked on a residential street. I have yet to see one on my freeway travels. Of course, that is part of the joy that those of us who are early buyers get to experience. I am looking forward to seeing another Fusion just so that I'll know what I look like to other drivers. I also want to give that Fusion driver a thumbs up.

I don't know if others do this, but when I park my FFH I like to pick a space that gives it maximum exposure. I'll pick a space further from my destination rather than parking between two SUVs in a closer space. I'm proud of what I drive and I want as many people as possible to see it. The most common comment of those who stop and look is that the Fusion is larger than they expected. All love its style.

Yesterday I went to the first of four classes on climate change. I lucked out and was able to park in the space closest to the auditorium so that the FFH was seen by everyone coming and going. The parking lot had, of course, many Priuses, some of whose drivers stopped and looked. Several others just turned their nose up and walked on.

I've seen about 20 of them down here, one parked three houses up from me this week, it was an Oxford white SE no option model.

Today I drove around a $100k BMW ActiveHybrid 7 (17/24 mpg) who was cruising in the fast lane holding up 6-7 cars, I slowed down for a second next to him, then left him behind.

Amazing what some pay for a hybrid badge on a car that gets SUV mileage.

My sister-in-law, the Prius V owner, actually stopped and looked our car over today while no one was watching (except me, thru a window).

She surprised me later when she said it was a nice looking car, really nice - I thanked her, I know it took a lot for her to do that.

I was driving down MoPac and looked over, saw a gray nosed Fusion, it started over taking me. I then thought I didn't know they made 2 door Fusions... it was an Aston.

Only 5 short months from opening order of banks to production start. With 4 delays and random nonsinsical closing and opening of order banks along the way. All while working hard to tell their customers nothing.

Supposed '14 production start is 7/13 - only 4 months off from the claimed '13 production of 3/13.

'Supposed' being the operative word.

I've about had it with Ford. What a friggin' cluster. If scheduling don't actually start next week I'm gonna cancel as well.

I remember reading the OP and thinking a new order placed in January couldn't take until June ... Now not so sure at all.
