GrySql Report post Posted January 25, 2013 I bought the Coverking Dashmat cover for my FFH, another disappointment.Their upper scale molded dash covers were not available yet so I tried the cheaper carpet model.Looked cheap, not in tune with the cars interior. What was worse was that I couldn't get it to lay flat and hug the dash contours.I sent it back. GrayStrider Report post Posted July 17, 2013 We got the DashMat Suede Mat, in black, for our 2013 FFH. My husband and I both like it. It looks more gray in the picture, but it's actually black.

Very nice! Now, if you could just do something about the finger prints all over the screen. I still don't have a screen cover for mine, but maybe I'm getting used to it. I do try to wipe it off with a small microfiber cloth I keep in the console.

storksb Report post Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Not being from the US originally and not growing up with dashboard carpets I have no idea what value or use they bring to a cars interior. Are they a throw back to the hard plastic dashboard of the seventies? Edited July 18, 2013 by storksb
keithsm2 Report post Posted July 18, 2013 i think they are mainly intended to protect the dash from the harmful sun rays....... The material used in 70's and 80s used to crack pretty quick when exposed... I dont think armor all helped either.... but anyway......the dashmat is to protect mainly..... ( maybe you like the looks or what you can embroider on it.......maybe less glare?? I dont know )
GrayStrider Report post Posted July 19, 2013 maybe less glare??Yes, less glare is true - I did notice that after adding the dash mat.
GrayStrider Report post Posted July 19, 2013 Now, if you could just do something about the finger prints all over the screen.LOL, I was going to put a note in my post about that, to please excuse the prints, but hit 'post' before I'd added it. I do have an extra ZAGG Invisible Shield screen for my Samsung 7" tablet that we didn't use. I really hated the one we put on my tablet, so we took it off. Was expecting this one to go on my husband's tablet, but after experimenting with mine, we decided to go sans-screen. Anyone ever use that product on their car touchscreen? It might fit if we cut it down a bit.
keithsm2 Report post Posted July 19, 2013 I think i have the zagg.....May not work as good on as a tablet because it feels a little tacky and may not let fingers slide.......but im really liking it on the MFT ..
djminfll Report post Posted July 19, 2013 Someone (Sorry i don't remember who it was, so I cant give you credit!) posted previously about fingerprints on the screen, suggesting first cleaning with a microfiber cloth and then using a touchscreen stylus. I keep a mini stylus in one of the cup holders and use that instead of my fingers. Not only does it practically eliminate fingerprints, but it is more accurate in touching the button I want. I even use it to adjust temp/fan buttons below the screen. It works first time, every time!
