HEY FORD: Titanium "Uncheduled" Status - What's the Real Story?

Recommended Posts

It seems most of our Titanium Model Hybrid orders are stuck in unscheduled status, with no dealer having been able to explain why to Forum Members.

Is anyone out there in a position to get information directly from Ford?

I spoke with Ford Customer Care yesterday and was told that "a number" of customers were calling in to find out why they are having to wait so long. All they seem to know there is "Early 2013".

Yep, I got the same "early 2013" line. It's extremely frustrating since I need a VIN to use my loan check. The check has a limited useage time and I'm afraid I'll have to start the loan process all over.

Have you asked the dealer to see if he can beat the rate?

They can't beat it. My credit score is perfect and I got my loan from a credit union. I'm sure I can get the same loan again but it's just a pain to go through the process again.

I hear ya. We're not that far apart geographically. Hope there are a couple of new Ti's in our short-term future. Meantime, just go back to "Eating wood". ;)

I'm starting to think that Ford has decided it's more important to get the Fusion ENERGI out there than Hybrid Titaniums for marketing reasons. ENERGI's seem like they are being scheduled.

If they have to prioritize between the ENERGI and the Hybrid Titanium, absolutely they will push the ENERGI first.

Among other things, they probably want to beat Honda to it.

I think you are right,

There has been a lot of marketing going on with the energi, none that I know of on the Hybrid Titanium.

There are only a small number of folks on the energi forums who have preordered energi's but lots of dealer stock is on order for the certified dealers.

Many of the news-writers have talked up the energi so I would guess Ford wants to get stock out there in dealer hands.

Lets hope this only lasts a week or so. looks like they could intersperse ti's with energi's they will have to do that any way??

You could do a dealer search on their website and select dealer specialties. I was able to find a few listed that dont normally show up in a search.

I've been waiting to see the Ti before buying. From the MPG issues I'm seeing, I'm starting to think I'll just hang on to my 2010 Milan Hy for another year or so as I don't think I'll see the gain in fuel savings to make it worth buying a 2013.

Yep, thinking back, had I been able to locate a new 2012 FFH, I should have gone that route instead. Then again, who knew......

Where do you get a list of certified energi dealers in your area?

Unfortunately this is another area where Ford has dropped the ball. There seems to be no nation wide links that work, even tho there are links to that info, you have to do a lot of searching on the internet to find them.

There are several in Dallas and Houston, many in California, New York, New Jersey, etc, look in the bigger cites near you.

Most dealers that are EV certified list that on their website.

Here are two links that show Fords link to EV dealers (that doesn't work) and a link to some but not nearly all the EV dealers.

Just got back from the dealer, there's a scheduling hold until further notice on the Hybrid Titaniums ... They're trying to find out more about it, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think I speak for many when I say "WE ARE ALL EARS".

Copied From a post

There's no written info on Job 2 and/or scheduling, but I stopped by my dealer last night: the Hybrid Titanium is on a scheduling hold until further notice. Some users posted on FB that they'll schedule them starting February 14th and production should start on march 4th. My dealer said the scheduling hold doesn't apply to the Energi, and those are already in production.

and a 2nd post

So I went to talk to my dealer today to find out what they know about the start of production for the Hybrid Titanium.

He showed me an email that he received yesterday from Ford that said scheduling will being 2/14 for Hybrid Titanium and production begins 3/4.

The latest info that looks like it might just be true...looks like another months wait before production even begins.

That first post was mine, based on info from the bottom post! Funny how someone posts something, it becomes a rumor, then it ends up being true ... BTW, there was one other post confirming these dates. I posted a link to it in the Welcome forum.
