acdii Report post Posted January 17, 2013 My wife has not driven the new one yet. She drove my F150 once, and that was when we took the old F350 to the dealer, she followed me in it. She has her car(which I broke this week), and I have mine. Her car may be older, but it gets better MPG. go figure
darrel.e.wise Report post Posted January 17, 2013 We traded in our 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT v6 that got about 25 mpg. So far our new FFH with only 500 miles on it is varying from 39.9 to 40.3 mpg in cold weather, 20 to 40 degrees. I think that is pretty darn good. But it really drives me crazy that she gets to drive it to work. It is kind of like a cell phone plan. I can drive it after 7:00 pm and on weekends. 2 hybridbear and coach81 reacted to this

I bought the car for my wife to drive. Every once in a while she lets me drive it. I've been regulated to the 2010 3.0. That's OK. coach81 Report post Posted January 17, 2013 Enjoy sleeping on the couch... or in the car. I normally fall asleep on the couch anyway :) In 40 years we've always had his and her cars and she's never driven mine, I usually take care of her maint. trips. We do to.. she has her van.. and I've had my truck (which she NEVER wanted to drive), but now with the Fusion.....We traded in our 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT v6 that got about 25 mpg. B25Nut Report post Posted January 17, 2013 I've been feeling guilty that after three months my wife hasn't even sat in the driver's seat. Last weekend I set the #2 memory to settings that I hope will be close to her's, but it still looks like it will be two weeks before we have any time during daylight hours for her to take her first test drive. I feel better now that I know I'm not alone on this. 1 coach81 reacted to this

hermans Report post Posted January 19, 2013 When I test drove the Fusion for the first time, the dealer gave it to me for 2 hours. I signed a piece of paper agreeing what time I had to bring it back. I drove the car to my wife's office and she drove it an hour. I kept it for the remaining time and took it back to the dealer. I then ordered one that day. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
B25Nut Report post Posted March 18, 2013 After more than four months, my wife finally had her first time behind the wheel of my FFH. She had expressed a concern that if something happened to me, she wanted to be familar with the car. I had already set up the #2 memory with settings that I thought would work for her, and with some minor adjustments, she was ready to go. From day one, I haven't had to touch the adjustments of the steering wheel, and she didn't need to change them either. My primary concern was how she would adjust to the brakes, but after going down our driveway and getting on the road, she had no issues with them. She really enjoyed driving the car! The memory seats that come with the interior Luxury Package are just another wonderfull thing about this car. They go from one setting to another very accurately. 1 hybridbear reacted to this

terryb Report post Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) I 'bout got run down by a big knuckle drggin' jacked up four wheel drivin' SOB the other day who decided me and my Fusion were not gonna occupy that merge space in front of him no matter how hard we tried. Flipped me off while I considered ballistic solutions. I hope coach81 didn't run afoul of road rage or any of the laws of physics.
