New 3DCarbon kits

Has anyone considered getting one of the new 3dCarbon body kits on their '13 FFH? it appears the kit, which was shown off a lot at SEMA '12, only has a rear bumper for a dual exhaust, but I'm almost certain the muffler tip(s) and reflector surround from the 2.0 EcoBoost model could be fitted to a hybrid, should someone be willing to pay for the parts and paint. Being that these kits are for style, I don't suppose they add much for aerodynamics, but i'd be interested to see what the kit/lowering do for fuel economy.

I am thinking about doing the exact same thing - parts will be around $500 -$700 and with the 19" Modena wheels it needs to be balanced in the exhaust department - there is a dual pipe upfit listed on YouTube and the parts are on the fastpartsnetwork.com

Well the 2.0 muffler looks identical to the hybrid except the tips. If i were to do it, id probably try to get the rear valance piece and tip trim pieces from the 2.0 and fit the single hybrid exhaust to the right side trim and probably leave the left a faux filler. Wouldnt want to screw with backpressure or anything that could affect the hybrids performance. 3DC now specifically states the rear piece fits only dual exhaust models on the page, but i cant imagine it would be all that difficult. Itd be awesome to fit a hybrid with the kit, lower it and do some black/machined wheels.

I think the Fusion is low enough as it is. I tried fitting splash guards on it, and they were touching the ground. You also have to consider how much the kits will affect the Coefficient of drag. If it increases any frontal area, that can reduce fuel economy, but by how much, wont know until its tested.

Found one for sale with the kit and rims, although the accent parts of the front and rear pieces aren't blacked out like they oughta be. Would you buy this?

Interesting, a dealer add on. Would have been better if it was a Ti model though, those pipes in the back are the Nutz
