ramseyny Report post Posted January 11, 2013 Just joined the Forum last night. Looking forward to getting, and eventually giving, helpful info. Drove the FFH a couple weeks back and really liked it. Wasn't sure I would like it coming from a BMW but I enjoyed it and the family did as well so it's a go. I am trying to decide between a loaded up SE and a Titanium. Hard to compare since the dealers have no literature and Ford.com does not yet have the Hybrid Titanium posted. Looks like biggest differences are 18" wheels, stereo, ambient lighting and pushbutton start. Did I miss anything? Opinions?
fusionTX Report post Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) Welcome to the forum. I think you got it. Of course there are 18" wheels available for the SE too.So really it's the stereo, lighting and pushutton start. You also get the spoiler. The leather or its shape looks slightly different.I think you also get the dual exhaust. There may be other small items, but I think those are the main ones. acdii Report post Posted January 11, 2013 One big item you cant get, actually two, in the SE is the Sony system and the power passenger seat. Only fore/aft and the seat back are power in the SE. No big deal if your passenger likes to sit in a hole. I dont think there will be much difference in driving the two though, hybrid is hybrid, its what comes with it that matters. The TiHy has a few other things the SE doesn't, like touch unlock doors, ambient lighting, Sony system, Push button start, multi position passenger seat, chrome accents, lighted trunk, badges, spoiler, and probably a few more. I priced out one that matches my SE without park assist and its only $505 more than mine.
terryb Report post Posted January 11, 2013 Some don't like the dark leather interior with no light color available.
acdii Report post Posted January 11, 2013 I have Dune in my 2010, prefer the black in the 13 now, looks cleaner longer.

fusionTX Report post Posted January 11, 2013 Another subtle difference, the led tail lights are different. Not really a big deal

When I was considering whether to take the SE hybrid that had just arrived (which I did) or hold out for the Titanium Hybrid, I made a side-by-side list of the differences, and I'm pretty sure that when I looked up the details on the Ford site for the SE's 505A Luxury Pkg and the Titanium's 900A package, the wording was the same when it came to describing the seats. There really isn't much difference between a loaded up titanium and a loaded up SE.There is a fully loaded SE on a lot in Houston now, but it's at a different dealership than the one I am dealing with. Also, that is the same dealership that would not take my X-Plan order for a Titanium at this time.I will patiently wait. I really am in no hurry, but the waiting is harder than I expected.
camelot Report post Posted January 11, 2013 I agree on the waiting. Seems the closer it gets the worse it is to keep that side of the garage clear, being the tinker I am. Now I hear about the titanium and the sony stereo I'm missing. I really like the sony in the focus with all those speakers. The jvc in my 97 explorer was fantastic. But tired of waiting so I'll live with the se.
acdii Report post Posted January 11, 2013 OOPS, guess it is only 4-way in the Ti too. Thats just not right. I have a better seat in my 2010? I look over at my wife in the new car, and she is only 5'2" and she looks like she is sitting in a hole. Ti has Bling! I really dont care that I have to use a key, been doing that ever since I got my license, but I really would like the Sony system. Adding aftermarket to this car is just crazy.
