I have the MFT in my 2012 ford focus and ordered it in the fusion. I'm just wondering if anyone has had a problem in the "services" mode getting directions. It seems as though I get alot of "I'm sorry I didn't get that" when telling it the address I want to go to. There is no problem with other modes like usb or sirius or channel selection. Even with that I think it's a great feature.

I have MFT and Nav. It asks for the Street Address and City to be said at the same time. That has never worked for me. The Voice Control works for all other functions.

It asks me for city and state first. I then asked it for directions to a ford dealership and it couldn't find the sales address. It asked me if I wanted the body shop. I then asked for the operator, which fixed it in 3 seconds. Also "climate" then "rear defroster on" doesn't work in the focus also. Waiting for the fusion to arrive.

I gave up on my MFT, when I had all the information in, the enter button never showed, so I switched to the TomTom. On the return trip though, since my house is set, I just pressed the home button and it took me down some rather nice roads that got me home quicker than the TT would have.

 

If Ford can get MFT to actually work 100% of the time, it would be a great feature, and add Applink even better, but right now, I prefer the antique one in my 2010, has never given me a problem since day 1. I wish there was Applink for that, but seem s like the older models are being ignored.

I don't use directions that often. Sometimes it works ok. But the phone,climate,radio do which I use often. I've only had an update once, which was mailed to me on a flash drive. wonder if the 3.5.1 update is for earlier MFT?

I hope it works well as I have NO SENSE OF DIRECTION.. my wife insisted that I get the Navigation so that I can at least find my way home :hysterical2:

That 1 word(home)always worked for me. I think it understands that and a pizza joint I went to a couple towns away. I hadn't been there in yrs and forgot how to get there. Worked great first shot. But never again on anything else.

The stupid thing turns on the AM radio if my phone isn't plugged in, even if I had turned it off before shutting off the car. grrrr

 

I hope 3.5.1 becomes available here soon, It wasnt showing on the computer when he looked last week.

Mine came with 3.5.1 and that does not happen. (12/12/12 delivery)

Just checked syncmyride. There is an update available for my focus. It reqires a 2gb flashdrive. It says I'm gen2, but wonder why the rear defrost comand doesn't work. Even my owners manual says should work. Maybe the update will fix it. I am 3.0 something version iirc
