Have you verified that your dealer actually has an allocation for you to use for the order?
dlramon Report post Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) I understand what you are telling me and that your information is based on your own experiences with this process - I also know that you are probably right because I've been following this thread essentially from the original post made by Fastronaught . However, If you don't mind, I'd like to bask in the sun for a while longer. I find myself in a much better place than where I was last week and would like to believe that I really am not late to the party and that my schedule/build/delivery dates are not penalized because of a misinformed salesman; rather, that the order was actually being worked along with everyone elses and was assigned the priority my particular allocation (or to be more precise, the dealership's allocation ) was going to get. In other words, hopefully I've already been scheduled and that the actual build date is either next week or the week after. Its unfortunate that Communication (written or verbal) is often elusive and at times, unless you are direct to a point of being rude, you will not get the real fact(s) you are seeking. You're not alone. The winner of the 47 minutes contest just posted on the blue oval forum that he's also waiting for his VIN.

If you have that and the dealer code (name and state also works) you can chat with Ford's marketing department and they can provide a status and VIN (if available). Just go to the Ford website and start building a Fusion - the chat link will show up in the top left corner (during business hours). I know that laying in the sun is awesome, but please put some sunscreen on so you don't get burned :)

But as you can see below, I ordered only a month ago. 1 wazzul reacted to this

They should be able to give you their dealer # and your order # right after they submit ... believe it is called a DORA and it will also list your priority #. The lower the priority # the better. I hope it happens soon for you, wazzul.

I have my dealer number, order number, and priority when walking out of the dealer... it was all listed on the Vehicle Order Confirmation (VOC) and your dealer should have provided this... give them a call back and ask them to scan and email the VOC to you - if they waffle I wonder if they really submitted the order as stated?? Of course, they don't have the HyTi yet (and may never). They know less than I do about it.

Also, although the order # turned out to be correct, the dealership ID # was wrong => take points away from the dealership. I insisted that I be sent the latest DORA (they had been holding back from sending it to me - said it was against Ford policy to provide to customers). In any case, I now have the DORA and have satisfied myself that what is being scheduled to be built is actually what I ordered - I'm not going to assume anything after this point. Also, it was from DORA information that I found the error in the dealership ID #.

Also, it was from DORA information that I found the error in the dealership ID #. Hey, I'm glad you're on the right track! It sounds like you'll get your car in late April/early May. I got my dealer code from my DORA also, but Ford chat couldn't use that to pull up the order. DORA lists it as 48F426 while the correct # (that Ford needs to look it up) is F48426. Giving the dealer name and city to Ford was all it took to get the correct dealer #.
murphy Report post Posted March 7, 2013 My dealer printed out two copies of the DORA, had me verify that it was correct and then sign both copies. I have one and they kept the other one.
fusionTX Report post Posted March 7, 2013 I never got a copy of my DORA. Even when I went to the dealership and inquired a couple of weeks ago.My salesperson is not tech-savy enough to prinit it and the other person she asked couldn't seem to help either.i just got a response saying that it was the same information on my VOC.They said on Monday someone upstairs could do it (this was on a Saturday), but I never pushed it beyond that.
