wazzul Report post Posted January 8, 2013 Yea - went by and spoke with them about this on Sat. The $250/ wheel price is reasonable ... just leaves me with what to do with the stock Ti wheels. That is what I was talking with the sales guys about ... whether they would keep them and credit me (put them on some other Fusion on the lot etc). The parts manager at the dealership said he can't or won't buy back the stock wheels .... only the sales folks could do that as part of the purchase deal. Not terribly excited about listing and shipping the stock wheels on eBay or Craigslist myself - though I might resort to that. Are you able to order different wheels on the Ti Hybrid? My dealer said there's only the one choice, and I'm not a fan. Considering after market wheels.
coach81 Report post Posted January 8, 2013 I'll be just fine with whatever wheels I get.. I'm more concerned about getting close to the 47 MPG I'm supposed to....we shall see!
pers69 Report post Posted January 8, 2013 Are you able to order different wheels on the Ti Hybrid? My dealer said there's only the one choice, and I'm not a fan. Considering after market wheels. Your dealer was right. There is but one wheel choice and one interior choice if one opts for the Ti trim. Choose a cheaper/lower tier trim choice and your options suddenly broaden - go figure. But from what I gather this isn't historically out of character for Ford with their Ti trim. This is for the factory order. Once made at the factory in Mexico and it finally completes its sometimes draw out rail tour of America and arrives at your dealership all manner of things can happen. Either there at the dealership - your only chance of rolling into your pending sale/deal - or once you take possession and roll off into the sunset. They will gladly help you swap out your wheels [they offer a decent 5 spoke wheel for $250 a pop] - money for service is money for service after all. But if done after you sign off on the deal then those stock wheel are yours to deal with [save em in your garage, sell them on eBay or CL etc). Personally, as folks might have heard me say before, I would have preferred the dune leather interior and different wheels. Someone recommended and I considered a nice Katzkin set of dune/tan leather interior. Tempting to alter the interior color and protect the stock leather - but I can't justify shelling out $2k for either rationale. So - talk with your dealer. Mine is considering it and will know more when my car arrives (what their situation is at that time - other fusions to swap my Ti stock wheels to etc). All that being said I am not too Pollyanna about this. I think at the end of the day I will be left with the stock Ti wheels so either learn to love or sell/replace on my own. The incentives for the dealers to do all this just aren't tempting enough.

pers69 Report post Posted January 9, 2013 HenryVIII - as long as we are speaking of hybrid models - yes you can if you order the SE, trim no you can't if you order the Ti trim. It would all be made more clear of Ford would update its build function of its site. Third party sites have had such a capability for some time now (kbb etc). Ford may be wating until with scheduling or production begins. But my opinion is they should make such a function available as soon as they allow folks to order these vehicles. Word is scheduling for hybrid Ti trim will start next week (only a week later than prior forum rumor) and intitial production 2/4. Late Feb - mid March for those lucky with the higher allocation assignments.
MrQuiet Report post Posted February 3, 2013 Really nice wheels! Too bad the Hybrid TI doesn't give you a choice of wheels.
pers69 Report post Posted February 3, 2013 Yea - odd they limit choice on the upper trim. Go with the 'lower' trim and suddenly your choices expand (or exist at all).
