2013hybrid Fusion with tech package

Recommended Posts

So I placed my order on July 28th for a hybrid loaded with everything except the parking assist and cruise control, I'm still waiting for my car I was told the plant in Mexico had to wait for the parts for the tech package, should I believe this, is it just me or anyone else hear this? I want my car!!!

I have found the Tech Package to be a must item since that is how you get the Rear Video Camera. When it rains the view out the back window is very restricted and you must rely on the camera when backing out of parking spaces. The 8" screen would also be hard for me to give up.

Was this bought off the lot or a special order ?

My dealer said they are going to pay my first months payment to compansate the delay.

I suspect the car actually came in but was sold for more money than my purchase price and gave me this BS about the tech package back order

Mine has the tech package, and adaptive cruise, and PA. I doubt I will ever use the PA, had it in the Flex, used it once. The ACC though, I love it. Just set it and drive. When moron pulls out in front of you, it slows down, when moron in front of you slows down to turn, it slows down. When moron in front of you cant maintain a steady speed, it keeps pace. I can just relax and listen to Pandora.

I ordered my Fusion from my local dealer in early September. The first week in November I finally got an ETA and it was Dec 16. A dealer 210 miles away had the exact same car as part of their initial Fusion order from Ford. It arrived on Nov 7, I picked it up on the 9th. My local dealer understood and wasn't upset, just disappointed. I was extremely lucky to find an almost identical vehicle. It didn't have the Illuminated Door Sills (which can be added at any time) and only had the Rear Sensors as something I hadn't ordered.

Does anyone have the tech package w/o park assist? I was wondering if the screen still displays the gray lines of your path when in reverse as opposed to the correct path for parking. Thought it was pretty neat as they moved when I turned the wheel. The demo had pa and a full boat load

I have the Tech Package w/o any driver assist options. I do have the reverse sensing system, which beeps as I get close to something. The grey lines on the screen curve as I turn the wheel, which is very convenient. I have found I use the lines the most when backing into a parking space against a curb. Placing the line just outside the curb puts you about 2-4" away, just where I want to be.

hey, 1200 mile trip, check the MPG!!! Isnt it great!! that includes 100 miles drafting a semi, in 70* weather!

All the fancy crap, does not make up for the crappy MPG's. My 2010 does much better on the highway, pnly reason it isnt up to the 39 it shows now is a few weeks of poor performance when the MAP sensor went bad, and the computer had to relearn after a full reset. We also have two people driving it, and dont spend every drive trying to maximize the FE because even if we just drive it, it will get 38.

PA also comes with forward sensors. Do you find those useful? They would come in handy with my Camry as you cant really see where the front of the car ends. I was going to order everything but the PA, but the salesperson mentioned the forward sensors come in handy. So now I am wondering... I also have a tight garage space...

They do. Good for parking in tight spaces. PA is good if you do a lot of parallel parking, if you dont, isnt really wirth it, but it does work good!

Great to know... never had a vehicle with rear view cam or reverse sensing, hoping this will make me a safer driver!!!

This will be the 4th car I've had with reverse sensing. I think its a great feature. however, when backing out of my garage it goes off as it picks up the side of the doorway if I'm off center a little too much and scares the you know what out of me sometimes thinking someone walked behind me. Still worth every penny to me. Helps the wife with parking in a small lot she parks in also.
