2010 Fusion Hybrid Owner

Recommended Posts

Now that I am more than two years into owning my hybrid and driven over 100,000 km I kind of wish I had purchased the extended Warrenty for this vehicle. I am now facing a bill for replacing my instrument assembly panel for a malfunctioning speedometer of $1400.00. Say it isn't so Ford. Just when I was enjoying my ride the speedometer quits on me. Why can't it just be easier on the wallet as it is Ford's goal to save us money by going green. Paying these bills takes away the spirited feeling of owning a Ford product. Has anyone out there experience the same with their hybrid? Maybe there is a fix that is not as painful as this.

Isnt technology wonderful? This is the reason I am getting an ESP on mine before the warranty expires. Way too many gadgets that cost a fortune to replace, even doing it myself.

Got mine last night, so now its protected for the next 3 years or 100K miles, which ever comes first, and the number of miles we drive, will be 100k first.

I fixed my speedometer by unplugging number 13 and 26 fuse and plugging them back, these fuses control the sync module and the instrument cluster respectively, I fixed my blue tooth that wasnt working properly the same way, except I only unplugged 13 that time... the dealer wanted $700 for a part I cant name now... Thats why it started working again when you changed your Battery Papayianni, this accentually rebooted your harddrive

These are computers and like all computers ocassionally they need a reboot, hope this helps somebody smile.png

Anybody know how much for the esp, just curious?

ESP is only available while still under factory warranty from Ford. (you are referring to Extended Service Plan). You would need to use a 3rd party plan after that, so you have your work cut out for you in finding one at a decent rate.
