(Not asking about the ordering time; I'm talking from the time of the date sticker in the doorframe until it actually hits the lot). For example, if you buy a car that has a November manufacture date sticker and buy in March, when did it hit the lot? Going by past experience, anywhere from 1-3 weeks would be normal. It depends on the amount of vehicles being shipped to the region that dealer is located in. They could be riding trains and trucks, so it's a matter of logistics. It's real easy to tell here in Texas because the cars, even though they are new, have to have a State Vehicle Inspection sticker. That is part of the dealer prep when they get them here, and they have to put a sticker on the front windshield. Real easy to tell when walking the lots how long the dealer has had the vehicle sitting there, and when it hit the lot originally. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
