Seat Covers for FFH

Recommended Posts

This may seem like a silly thing to do but I am thinking about getting seat covers for my FFH. I just want to keep things as nice as I can for as long as I can. Is there anybody out there who has seat covers in their car and if so, how do you put the seat covers on the back seat since it doesn't fold down? Thanks.

The back seat back can be released by moving little levers in the trunk up near the rear deck speakers. They're difficult to see and are described elsewhere on the net on sites dedicated to accident Emergency Responders who want to pull out the HVB interlock disconnect. I saw it some time ago and even with the pictures I couldn't figure it out and lost interest. The info is available, however. Try this: http://www.fireengineering.com/index/articles/display/365455/articles/fire-engineering/champion-featured-articles/2009/06/new-vehicle-extrication-2010-ford-fusion-hybrid.html (Eureka, it works). Why don't you use the original seats and cover them if you need to when you dispose of it. I have the fabric seats so I don't sweat in Florida on the leather and they are very comfortable. Did two 3,000 mile trips with little fatigue driving 600 miles per day.

Thanks for the help. I think you convinced me not to worry about getting seat covers.

Exactly. What good does it to to protect the seats if you can't enjoy them?

The more that I think about it, the more I think that it was a silly idea. Kind of like Grandma putting plastic on the couch and then we still couldn't sit on it.
