The Escape Hybrid has been out since 2004 and is very similar. At 15,000 miles/year and $3/gal. gas, I'm saving about $1000/year over my 2004 Toyota Avalon's 22 mpg. gotensean Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Aptos I dont consider myself an early adopter the fusion hybrid is in its second year. Hybrids in general have been around for awhile i have always heard dont buy a car in its first model year though.
