P225/60R16 Winter Tires

Hello,

Will P225/60R16 winter tires fit on a 2011 Fusion SEL FWD V6?

If the tires are OK, they are currently mounted on steel rims from a 2004 Mustang. Will they fit on the Fusion? Or would I need to purchase new rims?

If so, what would be the recommended rim width?

If the rims were stock Mustang rims, they should be fine on your Fusion. Both cars have the same bolt pattern with a high offset. You will need to get hub centering rings to use those Mustang wheels. The centerbore on the Fusion is 67.1mm, and the centerbore on the stock Mustang wheels is 70.3mm. The tires are a little wider than the Fusion stock 16" tires, but you should be ok with that size. That being said, just understand that I am not a wheel & tire expert.

Thank you for your reply. As I only had two of the four winter tires mounted on steel rims from the Mustang, I put them on the rear of the Fusion. I purchased two new steel rims from the dealer and have them on the front. In checking for hub rings for the rear wheels, I was told that they are only available and needed for alloy wheels, the steel rims with the cone nuts will self-centre. I will see how they go and if they vibrate I will have to buy two more rims. Thanks again.
