tomm85 Report post Posted December 12, 2010 I'm having some trouble with my Ipod in my 2011 Fusion with the Ford Sync that I just got. Getting it to connect is not the problem. My problem is that when I look at certain artists - such as Queens of the Stone Age and Led Zeppelin - I can't see all of their albums, specifically the self-titled Queens of the Stone Age album and Led Zeppelin's first four albums, which are just titled in my Ipod as Led Zeppelin I, Led Zeppelin II, etc. Secondly, I'm finding that when the Sync plays somes of my albums on my Ipod there is a noticeable gap in the transition between songs. This is doubly noticeable when they are songs that end and blends into the next song that is beginning. In that situation, it actually takes out the last couple of seconds or so from the ending song. Does anyone know anything that I can do to correct this or is this something I'm gonna need to go to the dealership to deal with. I hope all that made sense! Thanks for the help! Try the utility at syncmyride.com to check all of the metadata on your songs and look for other possible problems with the song files. Can't remember what it's called but it shouldn't be hard to find.
tomm85 Report post Posted December 14, 2010 Well, I fixed the problem of the certain albums not showing up. Apparently, I just needed to add the type of music genre to the albums that were not showing up and that fixed it. However, the other problem I haven't solved. I went to the Ford dealership and let one of their guys - who supposedly knew about this stuff - listen to a track that segued into the next one and how it cut off the ending song early and how there was a noticeable pause until the next song started. Surprisingly, he said that's just the way the sync operates and there is nothing you can do about it. He said to check for updates for my Sync which might fix the problem. Still, I feel like if the Sync people haven't created an update to solve this problem already then I shouldn't hold my breath for one. Is this really the way it is for everybody else? I wouldn't think so.
