akirby Report post Posted November 30, 2010 I have an 09 ford fusion sel and my ipod worked one day but the very next day it wont play the car keeps saying the usb is empty how do I fix this? First try a usb drive to make sure the usb port is working. If it is then try a different cable. If not pull the sync fuse to reset sync and try again. If that doesn't fix it then it's dead. tomm85 Report post Posted December 11, 2010 I'm also having some trouble with my Ipod in my 2011 Fusion with the Ford Sync that I just got. Getting it to connect is not the problem. My problem is that when I look at certain artists - such as Queens of the Stone Age and Led Zeppelin - I can't see all of their albums, specifically the self-titled Queens of the Stone Age album and Led Zeppelin's first four albums, which are just titled in my Ipod as Led Zeppelin I, Led Zeppelin II, etc. Secondly, I'm finding that when the Sync plays somes of my albums on my Ipod there is a noticeable gap in the transition between songs. This is doubly noticeable when they are songs that end and blends into the next song that is beginning. In that situation, it actually takes out the last couple of seconds or so from the ending song. Does anyone know anything that I can do to correct this or is this something I'm gonna need to go to the dealership to deal with. I hope all that made sense! Thanks for the help! demonic2020 Report post Posted December 31, 2010 I forget where on Sync's web site I found it but there was an article for this issue of "Dead" USB ports and apple products. Sync support says to pull your Sync fuse let the vehicle run for a minute and reinstall the fuse. I've only had to do this once in the 6 months I've owned my car. And what else will be erased if i do this? All my Sat radio presets, preferences? Thx!
