resQengine Report post Posted November 23, 2010 I bought a 2010 Fusion SEL used. The state in which the vehicle was owned in did not require a front license plate. I live in new york state and unfortunately, they require a front plate. So i have looked around on the forums and found that a lot of you guys bought your cars new and they gave you a bracket to install later. I called my local dealership and they want 22 bucks for the bracket. I think that is pretty silly. I guess I am wondering if any of you would be willing to hook me up with your bracket if you are not using it, or if you have a better cheaper option. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I ended up buying a bracket. I have not installed it yet, but they told me that it does not require any rivets, which I wanted to avoid. I hope its easy to install. Again, thank you for your reply.

Fuze-ion Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Most I have seen come from the factory with the Rivets. I know the Dealership that my car was from, gets a lot of cars that are being distributed from other dealers in other states, that don't have the front plate requirement. They attach the bracket with two large screws. The plate is held-on with the lip of the bracket and two screws. I wish Virginia didn't require the front plate, but many police departments enforce it. 2010SEL Report post Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) I hate the mount on the bumper! If mine did not already have it on, I would not put it on until forced to. Chances of getting harrassed by the police are very slim. If they do, you can always put it on. I might look at mounting it below the bumper, in the lower grille area. I think that would look better. Not sure if it would hang too low though. Edited January 6, 2011 by 2010SEL
