eneg Report post Posted November 19, 2010 Anybody here been able to do this?I've tried it a few times and have not been able to get it to work.I figure it has to be me, so is there a trick to get it going? The only thing that concerns me is that the manual also states that the car's headlights should be onwhen this feature is enabled. Mine are off! (I really don't care though, as I want all of the lights off anyway!) Thanks for any input. . . Eneg

The procedure is on page 112 in the 2010 manual, if you want to get an online PDF copy and compare, and there is no mention of the headlights having to be on or off. EnegI leave my headlight switch in the Autolamp(3 o'clock) position. The exit delay for the headlights is set at zero. The interior lights and the puddle lights on the outside mirrors come on when I use the key fob to unlock the doors, but the headlights donot come on because I have the perimeter feature disabled.. Try reprogramming yours or a trip to the dealer may be needed. Edited November 21, 2010 by FFHdriver

rfruth Report post Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) I have my perimeter feature disabled, my puddle lights and headlights come ON when I use the key fob to unlock the doors if its dark out, if its daytime no headlights but puddle lights yes (no special programming on my part, its as if FoMoCo read my mind cause this is just right for me) Edited November 26, 2010 by rfruth

Looks like I have a problem with this that I will have to live with.No way am I letting anybody touch this car unless I have to.These dealers usually break more than they fix! Thanks Again, Eneg
rfruth Report post Posted November 27, 2010 I have my perimeter feature ENABLED (the factory default) not disabled (page 112 to turn on or off as discussed above) - oh and not sure of the puddle lights coming on but the car lights up like Christmas when I unlock with the key fob when its dark (there is a note in the book ((page 111)) about no perimeter lamps in some vehicles in daylight conditions) anyway try the procedure again, it sounds like it somehow got disabled, its a nice feature to have !
