T1125P Report post Posted November 11, 2010 (edited) Hi all, I'm planning on buying this for FLAC audio: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0321982 FLAC sounds so much better than mp3, a lossless rip. Anyway If I buy this and use the USB or the headphone jack, will the car see FLAC format? I have a 2009 Fusion SEL. I know it will not support flac format buy using a USB stick, but was wondering if a player like that would be ok? Thanks Edited November 11, 2010 by T1125P

Thanks The headphone jack will work because the player converts the audio for you then pumps into the system. The USB will likely not work since it reads the file directly from the device and tries to convert it to audio. (USB) SYNC will recognize and play MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV files. http://www.syncmyride.com/own/modules/faqmanagement/FaqList.aspx?tagId=37#question47

I don't mind using the headphone jack. Looks like I got myself a FLAC player :D
