Just to add to ambient lighting? Or do you want to do like a friend of mine with pulsing neons in the footwells? Because if you just want lighting, go on ebay, get led underglow strips for 6 bucks each, whatever color you want, trust me, they are bright. Then just get some wire, run the wire to the battery and put a switch on the circuit, fairly simple, I've done that for the interior and exterior for an explorer, very simple design.
