When I had a TomTom GPS, I named it ( and no, I didn't name hiim Tom :--)

My sister came up with 'Flo' and it has stuck.

(No, no Flo the waitress, but Flo Rida).

 

Though my friend had an odd association: "monthly visitor".

 

That nearly ruined the name for me, but I'm going to tuff it out.

 

I can see me saying: "let's go, flo"

Um well mine is starting to stick, my friends and I sometimes refer to mine as 42, like a cop car. But I haven't come up with anything better. For some ideas, we have named a 2000 Grand Marquis (The Black Knight, or the Knight for short) 2001 Explorer sport is the Beast cause it's lifted, has a loud deep exhaust etc. Um although not a Ford, we named my friends car Polish Lighting (he's Polish). The only other name is Phaedrus, who is a character from Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, it's an alter ego. The other name for my car that didn't stick was the Enterprise.

Named mine PRNDL, since it's so nicely lit up on the dash, and console..

My 77 year old mother was in the car, and my mom kept referring to our car as "her" and "flow", it was very fun.

 

We had a fun time using voice commands requesting various artists from our 32 gig flash drive with 6,200 songs (some of which she actually knew)

 

Glad I named the Fusion !!

I named my 2010 fusion se the bat mobile cause if you look up the history of the fusion name it has a connection to the bat mobile from the show in the 60s

I named my 10 fusion se Gianna the name is sexy and so are the lines of the car. Plus its hard to give the car a mans name when there is a womans voice with the sync.

My daughter calls my 2010 Black Fusion "The Predator" since its grill looks somewhat alien.

My 7year-old named our 2010 Fusion Hybrid "Heidi" since it sounds like "hybrid".

Since we always seem to pick up our new cars in Jan - Feb.

 

We named our 2008 Black / Black SE "Black Ice"

It replaced a Black / Black Lincoln LS that was named "ICE"

 

Our Candy Red Sport Fusion is proving to be difficult to name.

 

So far, names suggested are:

 

Red Ice

Candy Ice

Cleo (don't ask!)

Candy (Wife dis-approved immediately)

Apple Ice (no-no-no)

Fred (Ford-Red) - Never had a Male named car.

Sporty (too cutesy)

 

There have been others suggested, but, most in jest.

 

Can't wait to hear what you all have named yours.

I haven't figured out the '13 Fusion yet but in 2002 I bought a '96 'vette named MAC (JAG was on at the time, also stood for Middle Age Crazy). Followed her up with an '05 PT Cruiser convertible named SARA ( Mac character's real name, and stood for Sanity and Reality Arrive). Working on a name for the Ice Storm/ Dune leather '13 FFH.
