Will band type TPMS work on 2010?

I may be able to get winter tires from friend who had a 2007 Fusion. Is replacing the band type sensors with the valve type absolutely necessary or is there a way to make the old sensors work on my 2010 Fusion SEL?

I don't think they're compatible.

You have to know someone who knows someone who knows how to reprogram the SJB to accept signals from band sensors. The dealers will not know this.

Different band frequencies for sensor so that is a negative unless you know an engineer with capabilities to change all that...good luck with that...the sensors are nut that expensive and priced about the same for both types
