blackfusion2010 Report post Posted September 19, 2010 Hello everyone. This is my first post in this forum. Last night I had a run in with a possum in my Tuxedo Black 2010 Fusion SE 2.5L. He broke the front lower grill a little and my drivers side fog light bezel and trim popped out and I cant find it anywhere on the road. I have included some pics and was just curious if there are any sites for replacement parts such as these or if its best to go to the dealer or a body shop? Thanks and I look forward to posting a lot more since this forum covers a lot more then I thought. Also I was curious if anyone knows where I can get a service manual for my car. Thanks. fusionff Report post Posted September 19, 2010 Sorry to hear about the Possum incident. Here are a few sites.http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214290 http://www.teamfordparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214270
blackfusion2010 Report post Posted September 19, 2010 Didnt see what I was looking for. When it says lower grille they were referring to the lower bar on the 3 tier front grille.
blackfusion2010 Report post Posted September 19, 2010 Take that back. I think I found it. Is it the #12 on this page for the front bumper, and then Items #15 and 16 for the fog lamp assembly? http://www.teamfordparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214270&chapter=&Sectionids=0,2276&groupid=51817&subgroupid=3168&componentid=34897&make=10&model=Fusion&year=2010&graphicID=JP10005&callout=15&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=
fusionff Report post Posted September 20, 2010 I know it tough looking at their illustration, they should do a better job of showing the parts. # 12 looks like the part you need for the grille, and #16 for sure on the fog. In your picture, it looks like #15 is not broken, but I'm sure it is or you wouldn't be ordering it.. I saw the parts on the other link (Silver State Ford) that I posted above for a few buck cheaper. It looks like you've found the parts that you need, have fun on the install. Did you kill that damn possum?
blackfusion2010 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 Ya the number 15 is not broke. It looks like the center just popped out. I hope that's all it takes to put it back in. The actual grill and chrome surround piece is what I need then I noticed the plastic like shroud that is right after that protects the engine is also busted up but I don't know which number that would be. Thanks again.
blackfusion2010 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 (edited) Would the lower shroud (the first one from the front end) be #5 in the diagram of the radiator support? Edited September 20, 2010 by blackfusion2010

blackfusion2010 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 How hard is it to remove the lower grille trim and grill itself? Does anyone have a DIY?
jeff_h Report post Posted September 20, 2010 Must have been one hell of a opossum. Why did the chicken cross the road? To show the possum that it CAN be done.
fusionff Report post Posted September 21, 2010 Would the lower shroud (the first one from the front end) be #5 in the diagram of the radiator support? I'm not sure about that one, I'm sure you can figure out if it's the correct part.
Jer86 Report post Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) How hard is it to remove the lower grille trim and grill itself? Does anyone have a DIY? Hi there, sorry to hear about the incident with the possum. The bumper has to be off to acess the back of the grill. You'll need to slide a small standard screw driver between the tab from the grill and the bumper's tab. Your bumper looks like it needs to be repaired in the center regardless though for proper fitting of the lower grill.
