Quality of Bluetooth (SYNC) to those receiving your calls.

Recommended Posts

Question for you guys with Bluetooth cell phones and Sync. I have a very good friend with a 2011 Mustang who uses his Bluetooth HTC HD2 Cell phone from his car. This is the top phone using T-Mobil. Whenever he phones me, it sounds terrible.

Sounds great when just using the cell phone, but when calling from his car, it really sucks.

My Genesis Bluetooth sounds great (to those I phone) when using my Motorola SLVR-L9. Have any of you been told that the quality of the sound when using your Bluetooth (Sync) in your cars sucks?

Thinking of getting a Fusion (or MKZ) Hybrid.

I use my Verizon EnV phone with the Sync in my Fusion. The people I call say it sounds very good. They say they can tell I am in the car as it sounds "different" than using the phone directly, but not worse or better...just different.

My Motorola W376g works fine. No one has commented on a difference when I'm in the car. Your problem could be T-Mobil (notorious for poor signal almost everywhere outside of a big city) because the car itself, and motion if you are driving, further compromises an already tenuous signal. Or it could be the inability of the antenna in your phone to handle the interference of the car and/or motion. Road noise (windows open vs closed) and other voices in the car also may play a part. Lastly, we must admit that Sync is no flawless technological gem either. Good luck.

Reading your answers, I guess my Motorola SLVR L9 (AT&T) will work fine with the Fusion Sync. I'm not going to mention to my buddy that his transmit sucks, with his Mustang Sync and his HTC HD2 (T-Mobil) because he is the type of person who thinks he always has the best, and all others don't equal what he has. (This goes for everything, not just his car or phone). I want to stay friendly with him because he knows computers, and he converted about 50 CD's that I play in the car to 6 MP3CD's that I can play in the MKZ or the Geneisi. I may want him to make more MP3CD's for me, so I'm not about to tell him that his sound quality on transmit sucks.
