shawn_carter69 Report post Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) Has anybody tried tinting their tail lamps on a 2010 yet? If so did you do it yourself? and if so how did it go? Edited September 8, 2010 by shawn_carter69
TBFusion10 Report post Posted October 6, 2010 Don't think I'm going to do this myself, but I did find this today: http://www.lamin-x.com/Ford-Fusion-10-Tail-Light-Covers-p/f229.htm
Marcus018 Report post Posted October 7, 2010 Hey, I have a 2010 se and used the lamin-x tint and found while putting them on that they are not shaped to contour to the lip of the light and bunched at the top because of this and because of how thick the film is. I cut off the top portion of the tint (the part above the lip) to make it look as though I was extending the third brake light along the top of the tail lights. Looks pretty sweet but just keep in mind you may run into problems with Lamin-x.
jona2125 Report post Posted October 24, 2010 Don't use them. That just looks overpriced and under qualitied. I did mine light smoke along with the side markers (took the headlight tint off) and did the grille with black vinyl. Here's some pics. It was a very easy install because the vinyl is very very pliable to get it to contour if you have a blow dryer handy. It's cut to fit but thats not hard, 3 nuts and the tails fall out so its easier to cut it out evenly. I put it on, formed it from the center out and cut the excess off. 40 minutes to done for all 3 lights. http://www.stickercity.com/12-x-linear-foot-headlight-amp-taillight-cover-film-sheet.html
poacheggs413 Report post Posted November 21, 2010 @ jona2125 that looks really good. How big of sheet did you buy to do all the lights and the grill? I assume you had to remove the grill to fully cover it?

Looks like it turned out really good... What did you use for your tails? Thanks!

Hey sorry it took so long to reply I've been busy the past month. I orderd the light smoke color at 24" x 60" sheet, the universal headlight and tailight cover kit. There was enough to do both headlights, the 3 tails and the side markers. I ended up taking the headlight tint off though. the exact kit I bought is at this link http://www.stickercity.com/universal-headlight-and-taillight-cover-sheet.html
