Help diagnose noise...

Recommended Posts

2008 Fusion S / 4 cyl / manual trans / 28,000 miles

Have been experiencing a "squeal" while just driving down the road from the drivers side front.

It is definitely somewhere in the brakes or suspension or bearings up there, but not sure what I should be looking for.

The noise is NOT always there, starts around 40mph (and as I said, is NOT there every trip).

It seems to be triggered by road vibration.

If slightly turn steering wheel while the noise is occuring, the squeal gets louder.

If step on brakes, the squeal stops.

Going to be bringing it into the dealer shortly (still under warranty) just wondering what might be up

or if there are any TSBs on the topic (I haven't been able to find any).

Thanks!

Rod
