dorough Report post Posted July 3, 2010 I'm currently in the hunt for a used 2010 Fusion with Sync. However, most of the online car sites like AutoTrader don't list Sync as a search criteria. So based solely on photographs of the car, how can I know if it has Sync or not? I know about the USB jack in the center console, but most ads don't show inside the console. Is there a way to look at the steering wheel or dash and immediately know if the car has Sync?

Is there a way to look at the steering wheel or dash and immediately know if the car has Sync?Cars with SYNC will have a little Microsoft SYNC logo plaque near where the shifter meets the dash stack (on the horizontal surface near the power outlet). Vehicles with SYNC will also have a button on the right side of the steering wheel with a phone icon on it (at least according to page 84 the 4th printing of the owners guide). Other than actually turning the car on, there's no other way of telling which ones have it/don't that I am aware of.
Moosehead Report post Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) I'm currently in the hunt for a used 2010 Fusion with Sync. I know about the USB jack in the center console, but most ads don't show inside the console. Is there a way to look at the steering wheel or dash and immediately know if the car has Sync? Well it's standard on everything except the S and SE trims. Actually from what I read it's not even available on the S so that should help you. (Unless the car came from some weird factory order, I suppose) http://assets.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/assets/NGBS/Nameplate_SpecificationLiteDoc/Nameplate_SpecificationLiteDoc_8801EF28-254F-50B1-9FDD-5FC29FDD5FC2.pdf So basically you are only left wondering when looking at an SE. If it has a moonroof it would *probably* have Sync too, just based on the rapid specs. Autotrader might not list Sync but do they list something more generic like Bluetooth? (Sync is that + much more.) Of course a lot of people probably don't fill in all the fields when listing anyway. shawn_carter69 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 The SE Rapid Spec 201A has SYNC and no moonroof. Yes, but the point was that if it had the moonroof it would in all likelihood have Sync.
