Vesco Report post Posted June 28, 2010 Hi everyone,Just bought a 10 fusion (replacing a highlander). I purchased one with a manual 6 speed and the Nav system. Biggest problem I have had is trying to figure out the Nav feature. I was able to pair my wife's phone with MS Sync but I can't get it to pair with the NAV system. It prompts me for a code from the player but the player doesn't provide one. Anybody know where I can get my hands on a manual for the NAV system? -Brent

I paired my phone once...using the Nav screen and it paired it with the Sync system. The two are integrated and should work together...you shouldn't have to pair it more than once. When I paired my phone, the Nav screen provided me with a code to enter in my phone...don't know why it didn't for you. You car didn't come with a manual?? I'd complain to the dealer about that. Waldo Report post Posted June 28, 2010 There is no way to pair your phone to the Nav system. You pair the phone to Sync and that's it. All of the Bluetooth functions, including music, phone and text messages are done with Sync. The 2010 system is not able to use the Sync Sevices navigation features which are available on the non-Nav vehicles and the 2011s.

Ya.. the dealer called today and said they had the manual so all should be good. I thought it was strange. I paired it with Sync with no problems. On the NAV screen when I click on contacts is says I need to pair it with a phone. I let the nav find my phone. Phone prompted me for an keycode but the nav system never gave me the digits to enter.. :(.. Maybe the manual will tell me something different.

There is no contacts button on a factory Nav system. The factory Nav has a "Phonebook" button, but that is just Sync and should not need to reconnect. Actually now that I look closely, it's obvious you have an aftermarket system. You can't get factory Nav with a manual transmission in 2010 and the factory system is not made by Pioneer. The dealer installed a Pioneer AVIC Navigation System after the fact. The thing causes more issues that anything. I guess I overlooked it. I thought it was factory installed.
