TonyF Report post Posted June 22, 2010 I ordered the All Weather floor mats for my new FFH. However, when I tried to install them I found that the were obviously for the wrong car! The box said "Fusion" and the salesman assured me there were the right ones. The drivers' side had a single hole where a hook is to attach. My FFH's floor did not have a hook but has two knobs come out of the carpet and mate with corresponding holes in the existing mat. The holes have an O ring that snaps onto the two knobs. I was not really very pleased with the All Weather mats anyway and had a good reason to return them. My wife is very unhappy with the existing mats. Depending on how you look at them, the two fronts look like they are of a different color. And both look different then the carpet that they are on. I think its all an optical illusion -- caused by the way the light hits them. When they are side by side outside the car they look the same. They seem on the small size and I would really like to find some replacements. Have any of you found any replacement mats for your FFH?
bif Report post Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) I ordered the custom ones from Weathertech. They still have a single hole one the left, but they don't need to be fastened down since they fit from edge to edge. The black ones go well with the Fusion interior. I checked out Weathertech's mats. I like their "FloorLiner DigitalFit" style. Is that what you got? They say that the mats are fastened by the single hook but in your opinion fastening them is not needed?

Also the back is a single piece that goes all the way across so it protects the center.

They fit perfectly. Mine doesn't have a hole in it, instead it has the two snaps on it. You've definitely got the wrong ones. There are definitely ones that fit the FFH because I've got them. I'd recommend getting the correct ones so that the mat stays in the correct place and you don't become one of those people that gets their accelerator stuck by using the wrong floor mats or using them incorrectly. I think there are 2 different mats depending on when you got your car. Mine is from Sept. 09 and has the one hole in it where it fits the little do hicky in the carpet to hold it in place. I think I remember a few months back where Ford changed the design so now it mounts in 2 places like yours. Call Weathertech, they're good people and explain your problem and they'll make it right. TonyF Report post Posted June 25, 2010 Thanks for all your responses. I ordered the Weathertech mats with the single hole that bif indicated "fit like a glove"; the two-hole version is not available.
seamusbleu Report post Posted June 25, 2010 I think there are 2 different mats ...snip...Yep. When I ordered my factory all-weather floor mats, the parts guy asked me if I needed the one-hook or two-hook version. I took a look, and _thought_ I only had one hook. When the mats came in, I took out the original mats*, and found out I actually have two hooks. Oh well, I just punched a hole in the drivers side mat to match the extra hook. * I can't beleive people leave the original mats in place and put the all-weather mats on top of them. Don't do it! That's what leads to the mats sliding and potentially causing a stuck accelerator.

I don't know if the earlier 2010 models are different or something, but mine doesn't have hooks, it has snaps. There's actually no penetration that goes completely through my all weather mat, just a spot where the floor snap goes into and hold it into place. I find it a lot more convenient than the hooks in my last car.
