Removing the Blue Oval

Recommended Posts

I have a 2010 SEL. I'd like to remove the blue oval on the trunk lid and maybe replace it with something custom. It seems to be glued in place like the other badges. My question is what's left underneath after it's removed? Is it a flat space? A hole? An indentation?

Well on a Mercury, I think there is a Ford logo underneath the badge :)

I think you are at the wrong end of the vehicle. That looks like the front hood rather than the trunk lid.

Good catch eager to answer but not patient enough to read the question.

To answer it correct the trunk lid has 2 pilot holes and a recessed are for the oval.

Let me know how this turns out for you, I would love to replace both of mine, I want to have black with chrome "FORD" emblems to match my car. I am just wanting to get rid of the Blue for sure! Why can't Ford just have a chrome only emblem of some sort!
