jdw2003 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 I have an 09 and I am wanting to take the Fusion and SEL emblems off the back of the car and was wondering if anyone has done that yet and if there are guide pins or if they are just glued on? Since the emblems have been on for a little while you might want to use a heat gun or a blow dryer and some goo gone to get them off. I've had luck using a plastic drywall scraper to pry them off and then cleaning up the excess residue with goo gone and then waxing the area. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

fusionff Report post Posted June 16, 2010 Yeah, they are just stuck on. An easy way to remove them is to use fishing string, just slide it behind the emblems and 'saw' them off. The hotter it is, the easier it is to get them off, so park it facing the sun or use the hair dryer. After removing all of the glue spots, don't forget to wax that spot.
