zipzep Report post Posted February 28, 2006 (edited) As the upcoming owner of a new 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, I'm excited to have found this forum today. It's neat to see the press and dealer-related stuff on here, and get a somewhat 'inside' look at how the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr project works :D My Zeph will be black with black (charcoal) interior, fully loaded with the 'satin nickel aluminum' trim package, which is supposed to replace the Ebony wood trim pieces with the following: Interior - Satin Nickel Aluminum PackagePackage Details: * Replaces Wood Insert Steering Wheel with Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel * Instrument Panel Trim * Front Driver/Passenger Door Trim * Rear Driver/Passenger Door Trim Any photos of how this looks? I would assume it's real metal as it cost an additional $200 or so. I have liked dark interior BMW's with the satin trim better than wood trim... but not even the dealer could provide photos of what this trim looks like or knew anything about it. Also, Ford Marketing sure likes to play up the beige/light sand/maple wood interior in all their press and stock photos. Not even the sales literature has photos of a full charcoal interior.... only one small one on their website :anger: I oredered this car knowing I don't like owning tan interiors and want dark leather for keeping clean, but I have yet to see what this looks like in person or even a decent photo! You'd think with only three color choices, they'd provide photos of all three in their brochures, larger than a small swatch in the back. Post your photos of dark/charcoal interiors! I'm curious what to expect. I'll CERTAINLY post mine when it comes in, in hopes of helping someone else who may be stuck like I was/am when it came to deciding the interior choices. I'd love to see how that looks with the black interior and the brushed aluminum trim ^_^ You'd could be the first with photos of your Zeph here too! Dyoct Report post Posted March 12, 2006 (edited) ok this IS the MkZ from the Chicago autoshow but it should give you some idea B)Congrats on your new ride! :D It's such a shame that thing in between the seats doesn't go side to side and up and down and rest in one of seven different spots, otherwise I'd consider the Lincoln, that interior is just nice  Edited March 12, 2006 by Dyoct
mjh/sms Report post Posted February 7, 2007 Im not liking the fact the steering wheel goes all leather, they should have done the aluminum trim there as well.Either way... What do people think about carbon fiber trim in place of the aluminum trim (not cheap carbon fiber stickers, realreplacement pieces)? I think we might incorporate that in our next coachbuild of the mkz
