Heat gun works best for that part. This is the area with the little black dots, correct? Warming up the film, and pressing it in place a small area at a time will get it to stick, but takes a lot of pressure and patience.

I live in Columbia, MO... we called 3 different places today to check on getting my 2010 Fusion's windows tinted, and I made sure to ask about the dot matrix. One tint shop said there was nothing they could do for it but put a black vinyl sticker over it and tint the rest - I haven't seen this in person so I have no idea how good it would look. I called another place that said it was impossible to get it to stick and that there would be a foggy, bubbly effect where the tint isn't stuck to the window...no thanks. The third place I called tints for the Ford dealer in town, and he uses Elmer's school glue (dries clear) over the dot matrix part to make a flat, even surface, then applies the tint over it. I was skeptical at first, but he invited me in to see his work, and it looks awesome! I can't wait to get mine done next week!

Hope this helps!

Have you had the tint installed yet? Can you post pictures? Also what is the name and phone number of the installer?

Thanks,

Jeff
