What Can I Expect when I get mine in 2 weeks

Recommended Posts

I am getting my FFH, in 2 weeks. Black on Black with 502A; out the door for $30,394 w/fees/tax

How is the car, I live about 50 miles to the city, and live in the north east.

Is this the right car to have, I am looking at saving gas on my trips. Also have a company car, so will be using both.

How is the gas on the highway in cold weather, snow all that stuff.

Thanks,

looking forward to this new ride... :shift:

This car is a *champ* in the snow. Did you see all the news about DC being shut down with our weeks of six ft snow drifts? I was driving my FFH with very *very* little problems. Obviously I wasn't going into unplowed parking lots and doing doughnuts, but everyday driving was cake. My wife and I live really close to our works, ~15 miles and we're in the city, so that's where we rack up our MPG numbers. Highway driving is absolutely fine though, just remember once you break 47mph the engine stays on, for some reason it protects the transmission, idk much about the mechanics. Highway I always get my 36 MPG and if I'm on a hill or coasting I'll get into the 60+. I also have the fully loaded 502A and that backup camera is priceless for parrellel parking in the city. I'm parking in spots I never would've dreamed of before. Another cool thing is the moon roof slides *into* the roof, it doesn't stick out like most cars, which definitely gives it a sleeker look and I think keeps it more aerodynamic and quieter.

I love my FFH to death and hope your experience is half as good as mine!

How on Earth did you finagle that deal?? $30,394 for the 502A package after taxes seems like a helluva deal. Is this a brand new car??

It's an even better deal than I got, but not unheard of. Fully loaded with the 502A, I got mine out the door at $32k. The sticker was $40k, but my wife, with an innocent joke turned our test drive into a purchase. The salesman asked, 'What would it take for you to drive this home today?' Wife said, 'Take $10k off the sticker'. He said, 'Give me a minute.' The minute turned into 3+ hours, but they took the $10k off the sticker and then added the tax, tags, and title so it was just under $32k. That was also done with 100% financing for 5 years with no money down. I just couldn't turn that deal down.

Nice, but how can that car for 40k, when the sticker is 32, 290 or at max 33,000; 7k markup, wow!

Yep, deal out eh door *new*

Live in a state with no sales tax so saved on that.

I am excited, it Black on Black.

Ahh...the no sales tax makes a lot more sense now. Unfortunately, I'll have to pay 8.3% for mine when I buy it :(

Yeah, I didn't do any price research before I bought it; I only went there to test drive it but the sticker definitely said $40k. This was in May '09 and they had three, but only one had the 502A, which was the tester and I bought it with 8 miles on it.

I got the same deal which also included a remote starter.
