2010 Body Color Grille from CD3Fusion

I ordered the body color grille from CD3Fusion. Total cost was $368 including shipping. After a communicated delay from CD3Fusion, I received the grille after 11 business days. Contrary to what I had read in other forum posts, I did not have to remove the front bumper to complete the install! Although the bumper wasn't removed, the install was a bit difficult due to the limited space. I didn't take pictures of the install but there are 6 clips and 4 bolts that were removed from the top grille which allowed the grille mold to be pulled away adding enough room to work the grille out. Hardest part is removing the metal nuts screwed into the plastic posts. Be sure to take your time removing them especially on the Ford emblem in the middle of the middle grille piece. The new grille popped in extremely easily and the whole job took about an hour and a half! Here are two terrible pictures of the finished product. I will post better pictures within the next couple days.

 

 

 

I revisited CD3Fusion this evening and it appears they increased their price of the grille to $550 + shipping - OUCH. I wouldn't have ordered at the new price. The dealer I believe quoted me $370 plus $150 install which is why I went with CD3Fusion.

Sounds like it would just be cheaper to have the OEM one painted.

I wonder how hard it would be to peel the chrome off? After that, easy to paint. Have seen 2009 f150's with the chrome peeling off on there own.

With proper prep and the right paint you can go right over the chrome. I have seen it done with chromed wheels.
