armydad77632 Report post Posted February 11, 2010 I have a 2008 FF w/ 225/50/17 tires that need replacing. I got 50,000 out of the factory Michelins, but they are kind of pricey. Anyone have any good luck with an alternate tire that is reasonably priced? I do not drive the car hard, but would like a quiet tire with decent treadwear. Any suggestions would be great

They have about 30k on them & they are really good in the snow as we have had a bunch here in NJ. They are wearing good. Road noise is minimal.
fusionff Report post Posted February 12, 2010 Well, since you're in Texas, just search for all-season or performance tires on Tirerack.com. There is a survey comparing a nice selection of similar tires. You can see which are available in your size and then you can go to any tire dealer shop and request them. There are quite a few that are good tires, and you'll get some good opinions here. Good luck on your search.
