Zacher Report post Posted November 2, 2009 Valet mode is for when you are handing your vehicle over to someone such as a Valet, or garage. It locks out all funtionality availabale on the NAV. A great safety feature so that for example someone couldn't find your Home address if you stored it in your NAV. MAX Air, is turning on the A/C w/ the Recirulation option that provides "MAX Air" or your A/C on at full blast. Hope this helps. FFHdriver Report post Posted November 3, 2009 Thanks. As I have read elsewhere, never put HOME into your navigation system. Use some other word or words.
Oman Report post Posted November 3, 2009 There is a bit of extra functionality with "Home" on the nav system, and it is fine to use it on the built-in systems. You don't want to use it on the portable nav systems. The issue is someone stealing the portable units and finding out where you live. In order for the built-in system to work you need the keys. Whoever you trust with the keys you had better trust with your address because there is a good chance they already have it without bothering the nav system. JonI was thinking of the guy who parks your car. He knows you're not home and his friends can find your house.
