Yellowing Headlight Lenses

Recommended Posts

Just noticed the other day when washing my Fusion that the left side headlight lense is starting to yellow. Car is almost four years old. Originally a southern car, then spent a couple years in Michigan and is now back in Atlanta. Still seems premature though. Has anyone elses started to yellow/fog up?

Not just a Ford problem as most vehicles with plastic lens will yellow. There are some polishing kits out that supposed to clean them back to clear.

Same age, in Atlanta. No yellowing on mine, but I keep it garaged.

2006, mine is yellow and hazed like crazy. I still haven't gotten around to cleaning it up though...

I detail cars part-time and have run into many cars with hazing or yellowing head lights. Meguiars makes a head light restoration kit that is top notch! You can buy it at any Walmart or Autozone or any parts store. Definitely worth a try. Very easy to use and does a great job! Just my 2 cents.

I just used the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit on my wife's Explorer today and it worked great! It is kit #39008, picked it up at Pep Boys for $19.95.
