Rear Speakers '06 Fusion

I want to get rid of my rear door speakers and upgrade to 6x9s on the rear deck. My problem is that i don't know how to run the speaker wire from the rear doors into the trunk. If anyone could help me out that would great.

 

I have a stock head unit, no amp, no sub just want the boost of 6x9s instead of 5x7s.

Easiest way is to run new wires from the head unit to the rear deck under the carpet along the side of the vehicle. Then just splice into the right wires coming out of the head unit. That way the door speakers can be put back very easily. Crutchfield should have detailed instructions.

Sounds complicated. The most i've done is replace speakers. I'm new to wiring. Would it just be easier to have a professional do this? Or is this something i would be able with detailed instructions?

In that case I'd recommend getting a shop to do it. Put in the speakers yourself and ask the shop to run the wires and splice into the head unit wiring.

Not advisable. Trying to run two sets of speakers off one amp channel is asking for trouble. If you want to do that, run the speaker output into an amp with speaker level inputs and then run the door and deck speakers off separate channels on the new amp.
