Line In/Aux not working

Recommended Posts

So today I bought a 3.5mm belkin audio cable to connect my ipod directly to my 2007 Fusion's stereo system. I plugged one end into the ipod, and the other into the line in jack in the center console. I turned my ipod on, turned up the volume on both my car, and the ipod itself and failed to hear anything. Even at high volume on both the ipod and the car stereo (switched to line in mode) I cannot hear my music. I checked my ipod separately using headphones and it works with the headphones so the ipod is clearly working. I was curious if I had missed some crucial step, or if anyone had a similar issue? Any help would be great as I would prefer not to shell out for and FM transmitter. Thanks for your help!

Make sure the cable you got is for an iPod. They take a different cable jack. They also make adapters for them.
