fsb99 Report post Posted May 27, 2009 When I got my FFH, the finance gal offered me 6yr/100k maintenance package for $1300 (originally $1400 but she tried to sweeten the offer). I said I'll think about it (have one year or 12k and still eligible for the package). If I look at the owner's manual, the FFH only requires oil changes and tire rotation until you get to 100k, where you change coolant and spark plugs. When you look here there are a couple of things more to do every 20k, 30k and 100k: https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/main...ules/GetYMM.asp I guess each dealer can set what is replaced but this seems like a good deal. We don't need brake servicing until after 100,000 miles because of regenerative braking, there are no timing belts to change, and no need to replace alternators or starter motors or solenoids. If you have the things in the Fusion Hybrid maintenance schedule done on your own at the prescribed intervals, you will find that it will cost you MUCH LESS than $1400! rfruth Report post Posted May 28, 2009 I live in a big city (Houston, Tx) with 3 big Ford dealers near me and am not overly worried but do you (anyone) think the technicians / mechanics have had training on the FFH or will they just treat it like a regular Fusion and ask Escape hybrid techs if needed ? Remember that this system is an incremental improvement over the systems that Ford has had out for - 5 years I think. They get tech updates for each new car, sometimes with specific training.
