If you have a VIN, can you look online for status?

years ago i ordered a dodge ram and there was an online site i could check the exact status of the order

Nope, not currently. You can call Ford Customer service and get updates.

 

 

how do i call them? do you have a number?

I don't know if anyone from FoMoCo actually reads in these forums, but the company would be in a better place if they could offer those of us that have Ordered new vehicles a way to check the status online for ourselves.

 

It would go a long way toward better customer service, a good means for self-service, and save loads of wasted time of dealership personnel and CSR's on the phone. I'm sure some smart IT folks at Ford could pull this together and give it a pretty user interface. Once you have your order number, and perhaps the dealership ID/number that ordered the vehicle, they should be able to correlate that information to your specific vehicle. At least I would hope so, anyway.

 

I've been harassing the dealership for updates about every week. (Just so excited!!!) Even called the CSR's a couple of times in the beginning when there was "no" information available. They couldn't even confirm I had placed an order! :huh: For what it's worth the "Body Style" they were looking for in their system was apparently code "P011" -- not the hybrid P0L -- since it was just a "generic Fusion order placeholder" at that point in the process. After 40 minutes on the call :waiting: they finally were able to confirm they had a Hybrid order in my name, and the date I was verified. It would be much more efficient if users could look up the status for themselves.

Another consideration is this. I am currently out of the country and use Skype to phone back to the States. The Ford Customer Service number will not put you through to a service rep if you do not have a touch tone phone! I realize that most people have access to TT phones, but there are still instances where you might not. How about either a voice recognition interface or at least having the call eventually transfer to a live operator. Right now it just drops the line after a few menus.

 

PLUS, I have no idea of the status of my FFH. The dealer isn't so hot at responding to emails in a timely manner. :waiting:

Well, I'm still overseas, I still haven't been able to contact the dealer and have struck out trying to get through to FCS, BUT... cars.com lists my hybrid as being in my dealer's inventory now! :headspin:

 

Does anyone know how that database updates and what, if anything this might say about the status of my car?
