DS Seat Heater 2019 FFH Titanium broken

Recommended Posts

Hi my drivers side seat heater isn’t working. The back of the seat heats fine. The bottom doesn’t work though. Any ideas on how to fix it? I pulled the six connectors but none of them show any noticeable melting/burning. Any idea which one I should be focusing on? How to troubleshoot? Would it be the pad itself? Thanks for your help, Tim

Interesting problem. According to the diagram, power flows to the lower cushion then to the seat back. If there is an open circuit, then both should not work. But you said the seat back works.

I would check for adequate power and ground at both heaters and check the resistance of both to start with. Compare to the passenger side

I have a 2010 Fusion Hybrid, the driver side seat heater completely stopped working. Switch would turn on then go off quickly. Too much work and time involved in replacing just the heating elements at least on the 2010.  I ended up buying an identical seat out of a wreck for 150 bucks.

The dealer troubleshooted the problem. The bottom seat fan (each seat has two and no electric seat pad/element) needs to be replaced. Has anyone done this replacement? Does the seat have to be removed or can it be done with the seat installed? Thanks
