PJFW8 Report post Posted January 16, 2009 I ordered a Fusion hybrid on Oct 27. (the second day the book was open.) Put $500. down. My inside buddies at Ford tell me that Ford is unlikely to schedule my order. I'll know for sure sometiime in Feb. Apparently I'm not in a market they wish to focus on. Too early to over-react, but this is disappointing to say the least.

I understand all dealerships certified for Hybrids can get at least one.

My guess is that this is just a general place holder. I'm replacing my '06 leased vehicle which is due back in May. I would appreciate any advice. Checked with dealer...the believe they will get one. If so, it is mine.

Simple - get on more waiting lists at dealers that may have more allocation. It's not Ford's fault - they're building as many as they can. In fact they'll sell as many Fusion hybrids as they do the MKS (roughly speaking, 2K/month).

Mercury Milan Report post Posted February 20, 2009 I heard from a dealer that production is actually ahead of schedule, so it will probably be closer to April. Congratulations on your beautiful new car :)
