2010 ABS Module

Hello folks: hadn't been quite able to find what I'm looking for in the threads. My daughter's 2010 Hybrid appears to have had the ABS Module rat out. All videos I've seen on Youtube show it up front below the coolant reservoir. On this one however it's in back at firewall on passenger side. There is a big wiring harness right in front of it attached to firewall. If I moved that I'd have a clear shot at the ABS module and pump. Any idea or thoughts on ramifications on if it's OK to just unplug that harness and moved it out of the way?

I have two 2010 Fusions, gas and hybrid. The gas Fusion had a recall to check the abs module for proper operation, maybe something to do with DOT3 brake fluid possibly corroding the internals? I would have to check that paper again. Mine checked out, system was flushed and refilled with DOT4, new cap put on. I haven't received anything on the hybrid, yet. Maybe if you haven't done so, have the dealer test the operation of it. The connector, all I know is that orange signals high voltage. I'll look in my manuals see if i can come up with a name for that part. May take a bit, maybe others know what that part is called.

Hi, where you able to get to the ABS out.  I too have a 2010 fusion hybrid and am trying to replace the ABS assembly with a new one.   IF anyone has info on how to take out this ABS assembly, would greatly appreciate it.

 

In our case we have the dreaded "stuck" vavle issue on the body ofthe ABS module.   It rarely happens, but when it does, its scary, you have to push the brake all the way down to get the car to slowdown or stop.

I did check the recall on this issue but our VIN does not fall under that recall, I guess Ford is fine with having a tragedy happen... sucks.
