ToyotaFan Report post Posted September 30, 2022 Just received a letter from Ford about Application Performance Upgrade 22G04 for the BECM and PCM modules in my 2010 Mercury Milan. After being stonewalled by Ford about the 10 year battery life cut off, I bought a programming interface and a neighbor helped me reset the battery age to 1 year. Has been running fine since but doesn’t get many highway miles so average is low (< 45,000 on speedometer). Didn’t actually change/update the SW, just reset a parameter. I’m taking it in for an update so we’ll see how it goes. Back of letter talks about reimbursement for having paid Ford for this upgrade or diagnostic fees. Has to be submitted within 90 days of letter, which is dated simply September 2022.
