kash80 Report post Posted January 27, 2022 I have a ‘14 fusion hybrid SE with sync 2. AFAIK, it has bee updated to the latest version it supports. Of late, the Bluetooth connection drops randomly. This has happened with different phones. The ford owner account online says there’s a APIM recall, but dealer states the recall dates have expired. Does the APIM have any relation to Bluetooth drops? Any pointers on what else may be causing this issue. Appreciate any input on this.

Does this happen during phone calls or when streaming music? It's also best to confirm the firmware version on your sync console.

It mainly happens during phone calls, has happened rarely when playing podcasts. I checked the version, it is 3.10…
2014FordFusionSE Report post Posted January 29, 2022 (edited) The firmware version seems fine. If it's working with podcasts, it kind of rules out Bluetooth in the car. Podcasts use the same connection though it's typically one way. When the BT drops during a call, does the phone switch to it's internal speaker or does the call drop entirely? Do you think it's the cellular network? We use iPhones and haven't noticed any call drops. My wife would definitely bring it to my attention ? She uses BT in the car all the time. The call is still on, just that the connection to car drops.
