Seen in older models but nothing yet of 17 to current

Recommended Posts

So, I'm seeing this in the older models of the fusion hybrid, nothing on current years. After idling today for about 2 hours I was sitting in my jobs parking lot when the service advance Trac and hill start assist unavailable started flashing. I lost power steering when I moved the vehicle a short time later. After removing the negative from the battery terminal a couple of times it fixed nothing. Fast forward 12 hours got off work and started the vehicle. Every 2 hours I had started it and  checked and it hadn't removed any ⚠️. Everything was gone power steering was back even looser than before. But no ill side effect. I'm the only owner of the vehicle, it's had every service done and whats been recommended directly by the dealership. First snow it has seen was last night. I made an appointment at the dealership but they're 3 weeks out. Is this an issue I should have checked out from what I've seen the dtc doesn't store these codes, so would this be a useless 200 dollar diag fee ? also mileage is 89,097  at current time

My 2019 energi is doing something similar...service advance track, hill start assist ABS , all the ford 360 stuff is disabled, no cruise...Happened when it first got cold

and then fixed itself on a warmer day so I thought it was temperature related...2 days later same issue for 2 weeks or so solid...then today everything works? And its cold AF!

Check your 12V battery voltage levels.
If it reads 12.25V or less after a night parked, it may be time to change it.

You can also prevent low battery voltage, by turning on your car for 20-30 seconds, turning it off, and turning it on again.
The High Voltage battery will have charged the 12V battery enough to at least run the software without voltage bugs on 'cold' start.
